Eric D. Brown, Founder and Managing Partner
Eric Brown is the Founder of Enerspend Management Group. He is a seasoned senior executive with more than 25 years of experience at energy companies and financial institutions. Over his career, Eric has saved companies millions of dollars through cost reduction. He has also led billions of dollars of complex financings for middle market and large companies across many industries, including energy, manufacturing, retail, technology, and healthcare. He combines the discipline and expertise of large established companies with the energy of small growth-oriented organizations.
In recent years, Eric was hired to consult with large and small energy management companies including Accenture, Procurian Energy, and Utilities Analyses, Inc. Eric was formerly a Senior Vice President at GE Capital, a subsidiary of the General Electric Company (NYSE: GE). He oversaw GE’s relationships with GE's most strategic clients in New England where he led financing and cost-out initiatives. While at GE, Eric was one of two executives to create GE’s commercial offering for energy management. He was Vice President of Finance (Treasurer) for Petrosearch Corporation, a publicly traded oil and gas exploration and production company. Prior to Petrosearch, he served as a senior executive at GE Capital Public Finance and various financial institutions in Boston and New York City.
Eric is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and holds degrees in Economics and French from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

Middle market companies, defined as less than $3 billion in revenues or $50 million or less in energy spend, are often viewed as insignificant to large consulting companies leading to poor service and results.
